Advancing cancer care for 12-24 year olds

Recent publications put the spotlight on AYA cancer

Two articles have been published in the past month which once again put the spotlight on AYA cancer.

The first article (The burden of cancer in 25-29 year olds in New Zealand: a case for a wider adolescent and young adult age range?) discusses the impact of cancer on 25-29 year olds, who currently sit outside the definition of AYA in New Zealand.

The second article (Adolescents and young adults with cancer in New Zealand - understudied and underserved) discusses the need for participation and collaboration of the entire sector in order to improve AYA survival outcomes.
